Vera Blue ventured to Perth last weekend and spoiled us with two fantastic shows. If you didn't have tickets to these sold out gigs you would have wanted to get there early. The lines were massive and Mojo’s Bar is so intimate you would have been one of the lucky few that landed a door sale.
The energy inside Mojo’s was exciting as it always is, inside was packed in anticipation and so was the small courtyard. Once it was showtime it was extremely tight inside venue! Vera entered the stage with her band and immediately had the crowds attention. Not only did she look stunning but her vocals were incredible live. People around me were in outspoken awe at the seemingly effortless melodies she was producing.
Her live performance consisted off keys/synth, an incredible drummer, an acoustic guitarist, who also sung beautiful backing harmonies, and a sample pad that Vera controlled amongst her dreamy vocals. Every one of these artists are not short of talent, I had goosebumps throughout the night and was incredibly impressed with the live delivery of each track. Performing for us all off the stunning tracks from her EP 'Fingertips', ending with popular crowd favourites 'Hold On' and 'Settle' which were slightly unique live but still incredibly beautiful.
Vera Blue’s live performance is truly captivating, stunning and not something you are surely to forget! Her live performance triumphs the recordings (like that is even possible). I cannot wait to see this incredible group of artists again and I would make sure you got tickets for next time, she will leave you in awe.
