'Murder Of The Universe' by King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard is HERE. This is the second album out of five set to be released by the band. The album focus's more heavily on lyrical themes, rather than musical ones like Nonagon Infinity did. The album has been complied into three sections with male and female narration taking place over the entire twenty-one songs.
Separated into three parts, it’s an ambitious effort that tells the tale of death and destruction and growth and rebirth, alongside descriptions of fiery blazes and impending doom. Content-wise, though perhaps not intentionally, the record seems to align itself thematically with the apocalyptic climate we’re experiencing in the modern day which we think is incredible about this album and beyond creative.
"The Tale of the Altered Beast" introduces the theme of the death of man and the downfall of the entire planet. The second part "The Lord of Lightning Vs. Balrog." themes of life and death as well as regeneration are affirmed: “I saw death become of life, and life become of fire”. The third tale of Han-Tyumi, the Confused Cyborg who plugs himself into a barf machine and inadvertently destroys the universe with an exponentially expanding mass of vomit All of these stories feature both ridiculously colorful sci-fi imagery and thoughtful implications about humanity's impact on the world. The band has created an apocalyptic-ridden world through a sonic environment that delves into original legend and lore.
