Since we booked The Murlocs for their album tour at Miami Shark Bar happening August 6th we have been waiting for this to drop, here it is.. the highly anticipated 'Old Locomotive'. This album says Ambrose Kenny Smith is a stand against rock n roll extinction and will see them head on a huge national tour and on their first ever Europe tour. HELL YEAH!
Geelong born 5 piece, The Murlocs' have released Old Locomotive, 13 tracks of blistering rock 'n' roll full of vintage hooks, twists and grooves and mind-melting guitar and harmonica licks. Produced by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard frontman Stu Mackenzie, the album stands against, according to singer Ambrose Kenny-Smith, “rock 'n' roll extinction” and that each song touches on abandonment and the "continuous search for a better alternative".
"In today’s future of webcam music, conventional bands might often be seen as a dying breed,” vocalist Ambrose Kenny-Smith said.
“Old Locomotive stands against rock’n’roll extinction. From start to finish each song approaches the face of abandonment and the continuous search for a better alternative.”
