After a huge 2016 with 25+ dates in Europe and the UK, smashing BIGSOUND and the success of their single ‘Bad Bad Things’ The Ruminaters are showing no signs of slowing down announcing a string of tour dates and releasing their sophomore EP ‘I Used To Hate The Ruminaters, Now I Like Them”. Despite the E.P coming out last week, we couldn't help but feature this cracker collection of tracks from the Sydney band.
‘I Used To Hate The Ruminaters, Now I Like Them’ was two years in the making with the band recording in several studios around the world including the legendary RAK Studios. London’s RAK studios has previously been home to David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson and The Arctic Monkeys just to name a few. Good friend and producer Rob Brinkmann (Royal Blood, Pixies) was given the top task of steering the chaotic, unruly Ruminaters ship during the sessions and the proof is in the pudding.
The range of songs reflects the bands unique and versatile songwriting style, that perfectly sums up The Ruminaters signature sound;
“I Used To Hate The Ruminaters, Now I Like Them” is the first record to be released through new Sydney label The Sunball Machine. The Sunball Machine is an artist run, independent record label that was started at the beginning of 2016.
