.Australian Music Week have this week opened up applications for artists wanted to showcase their music. The event will be taking place from the 7th until the 11th of November in Cronulla, Sydney for its fourth year running.
Previous Music Week's have showcased the likes of Hein Cooper, Ruby Fields, Diesel, Skegss, The Audreys, Hollow Coves and William Crichton, amongst many others. These artists have used this opportunity as a chance to pick up international tours, major festival placements, record and distribution deals, international touring and more showcasing opportunities. This year, they are searching for over 100 acts across a range of genres to place in front of global talent scouts and experts.
The 5 day event also features 20+ panels with industry experts, a Music Film Festival and the annual Folk, Americana and Country Music Conferences.
Past speakers and special guests include Peter Noble (Bluesfest), Gregg Donavon (Wonderlick), Mama Kin, Chloe Goodyear (Woodford Folk Festival) and Jed Hilly (Americana) with delegates from New World Artists, MGM, ABC Music and more in regular attendance. The first round of speakers and delegates for this year will be announced soon.
