Dear Seattle are the melodic, sing along, beer-in-the-air, headbanging-with-heart punk rock band you've been waiting for. One part mosh pit, and one part love letter- with a dash of VB- the band have created their own unique and powerful style of songwriting that's proven to connect with fans across Australia and the rest of the world. On Tuesday, the band released their new music video for the opening track of their debut EP 'The Things You Do'.
"Over the last six months we've been collecting snaps and footage from all of our tours and fezzies for this music video for 'The Things You Do'. It's safe to say it's been the most hectic time of our lives, but we couldn't be more chuffed on it!" Says lead vocalist Brae Fisher.
"'The Things You Do' illustrates a pivotal point in our band history, where we had to undergo one of the hardest separations to date. The track explores the rollercoaster of deciding to move on as a four-piece, and how that decision impacted the music we play, the themes we cover, and the friendships we had to build with the members of the band. It's a very bittersweet song in a way, as it was such a crushing change to have made for all parties, but it's led to such great chemistry among us and a move toward music we are all so proud of."
In classic rock and roll style, the band spent most of last year in a van driving up and down the east coast bringing their unforgettable live show to capital cities and regional areas, including shows at BIGSOUND, Party in the Paddock, Shakafest, Festival Of The Sun, Hyperfest and so much more. The band found themselves playing at the biggest crowds of their careers, selling out every show on the headlining tour. They also played to a crowd of thousands at Unify: A Heavy Music Gathering who sang along to every word.
The van blew up somewhere between Adelaide and Sydney.
