Ahead of their announced USA/Canada tour in August, the surf rock boys from Wollongong NSW have everyone on the edge of their seats with the release of a brand new track “Jump The Gun”. It seems to be never ending for these kids, only just back from their European and UK tour, basically no time to get a single breath in before they’re off again! Jump the Gun was premiered on Consequence of Sound, saying that the duo is "one of the more exciting acts to pop around this year's South by Southwest."
Fresh from their recent European and UK tour, Hockey Dad have revealed a brand new song "Jump The Gun", another dreamy anthem set to bring the warmth of Summer to a cold July. "Jump The Gun" premiered today on Consequence of Sound, who explained the Leisure Coast Legends as "one of the more exciting acts to pop around this year's South by Southwest."
Billy Fleming (drums) explains the song, "this was written in my room while staring at my Endless Summer II poster, one of our favorite surf movies all the time. The lyrics spiraled off the line "on any day of the year, it's summer somewhere in the world". We found the demo from when we first started the band, and thought we'd bring it back to life for the album."
With this track jumping into the pod of peas with “So Tired”, we’re super excited to see what their debut album ‘Boronia’ has in stall for us on the 12th of August, thanks to Farmer & The Owl and Inertia Music.
