Softboy Gold Coast singer-songwriter Jarom has this week revealed his debut single, 'Sip Merlot', an infectious slice of lush-pop with the all too relatable message of mixing alcohol with hard feelings. Debuting at number 1 on the triple j Unearthed charts and already amassing over 10,000 plays, it's clear Jarom is already reaching unimaginable heights, and we can't wait to see where he takes us next.
On the debut, Jarom says; "I’ve never been the first person to talk about my insecurities, my flaws, or to ask for emotional help at all. When I found love for the first time, it was such a journey getting to know that side of myself, one that I spent so long hiding from. It all came out one drunk night and this song is the events that transpired. Would I recommend you open up and talk about your feelings? YES. Would I recommend being under the influence whilst doing so? …. Well that’s your story"
Written with songwriter duo Middleman, consisting of Brisbane local's Larissa Frew and Phoebe Sinclair, 'Sip Merlot' is a song that sits very close to home for Jarom.
