Summer is just around the corner and we’re all yearning for long afternoons, clean glassy waves and beers with mates, Mid North Coast based band Vanilla Gorilla well and truly have your playlist for the season looked after. Vanilla Gorilla consists of 5 mates residing on the beautiful coastal town of Smiths Lake, inspired by their immediate surroundings of nature and the simplicity of emotions and the journey they take you on as individuals “the colour flow of life”.
Today marks the day where the boys share their E.P ‘Colour Flow’ with the world, a collection of 9 tracks written over the years as a collective, all recorded and mixed in their bedroom. Already having released 3 tracks off the E.P ‘Tropicana’, ‘New Moon’ and ‘I’m Sold’, has created much hype for the release of the entirety of the E.P, especially after their Shark Bar Sundays show on the Gold Coast supporting Sydney band Wild Honey.
For these five 19 year olds, there’s no slowing down, they are full of endless amounts of creativity and passion which is well and truly indicative in the music they produce.
Vanilla Gorilla will be joining Dope Lemon, Jack River The Ruiins and more on the lineup Grow Your Own Festival based in the coastal town of Forster NSW on the 23rd of December. With loads more tour dates in store and local gigs on the horizon, make sure to keep your eyes and ears out for Vanilla Gorilla, they are creating a sound we all love and miss. You’re bound to be transported to the beach consuming a beer in no time.
