The Fiery four-piece Rackett have announced their largest tour yet with a massive 18 dates booked across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia through February, March and April. The NSW stretch of the tour is put together in partnership with AHA NSW as part of their Rockin' the Puburbs competition, which the band dominated late last year. To celebrate this huge forward for the band, they have released their new bouncing, existential banger 'Alive'. Undercut by buzzing synth and running bass, 'Alive' tackles existentialism and themes of material mortality commentating on the infinitely evolving attention of popular culture expressed through their signature Pop Rock sound.
According to vocalist and guitarist Rebecca Callander, Alive is "...about the material reincarnation of oneself. Alive celebrates the life and death cycle of an adopted trend and empowers you to re-decide your identity and let go of the past".
'Alive' was a completely independent effort, with the track written, recorded and produced by the band at Forces & Fury Studios owned by the bands drummer Astrid Holz and vocalist and guitarist Kat Ayala.
