It is with great excitement that Ivy League Records announce the signing of The Teskey Brothers, the latest addition to the Australian label’s stellar roster of artists.
Hailing from Victoria’s Yarra Valley, The Teskey Brothers independently produced, recorded and released their stunning debut album Half Mile Harvest in 2017 to massive critical acclaim. Capturing the warmth and depth of the soul and blues classics of eras past, their undeniable talent and universal appeal continues to win them a wealth of fans the world over.
Having hit #2 on the AUS iTunes chart, selling over 20,000 albums, playing sold out Australian, US/UK headline tours and just completing an explosive set at Fuji Rock Festival over the weekend, The Teskey Brothers are undoubtedly one of Australia’s most talked about bands.
Teskey’s bassist and producer Brendon Love says of the signing:
“The Teskeys are extremely happy to be joining the Ivy League family. They are a forward-thinking and enthusiastic bunch of music nerds and we couldn’t imagine a better home for our band. Having been together for 12 years and never worked with a label or publisher before it was super important to us that there was an understanding of our approach to music. Ivy League totally get it."
Mushroom Label’s C.O.O, Chris Maund said:
“We are soooooo excited to be working with The Teskeys. They have achieved so much already and we feel so lucky and honoured to have the opportunity to take their classic soul/blues soaked songs and sound to the next level.”
They join The Rubens, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Hatchie and Cloud Control (to name a few), on the Ivy League roster.
This morning the band has also announced their signing to iconic American label Glassnote Records for the rest of the world ex AU/NZ/EU/UK. Stay tuned for more exciting news to come from The Teskey Brothers.
