New Music for your ears, Eddie Boyd, The Gooch Palms, Red Hot Chili Peppers & More
EDDIE BOYD – STONED (Independent)
The Blue Mountains raised songwriter introduces a new sound with this release. Produced by Tim Carr (Matt Corby - ‘Brother'); ‘Stoned’ is a dirty, raw, 3 and a half minute slice of Blues Rock. Frantic, loud, and melodic, ‘Stoned’ is said to be about an admission of jealousy for another’s success. Boyd say's it's a thoughtful examination of the internal struggle felt by many artists - to be happy for the success of others without being consumed by a fear of personal failure. “I couldn’t even bring myself to praise you” agonises Boyd, “..too self-piteous to celebrate you’.

THE GOOCH PALMS – ASK ME WHY (Summer Camp Records)
With the imminent release of The Gooch Palms' sophomore album, 'Introverted Extroverts' and an Australian tour with Violent Soho on the horizon, the cheeky punks have graced us with their second single, "Ask Me Why," and it's everything you'd expect from the duo, plus more; effortlessly anthemic and gritty. We are loving this quirky fun track!
RADIOHEAD – DAYDREAMING (Remote Control Records)
'Daydreaming' is taken from the new album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ released digitally on the 8th May 2016. Sticking to the seemingly emotional this track definitely tugs the heart strings. This album has been long awaited for fans and from the two snippets we have received so far, we know this is going to be a goodie. This is the 9th album released by Radiohead and is definitely their most melodic album yet.
RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS – DARK NECESSITIES (Warner Bros Records)
Grammy® Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Red Hot Chili Peppers return with a new single — “Dark Necessities”. The track is the first song to be released from the Los Angeles-based band’s upcoming 11th studio album, The Getaway, due from Warner Bros. Records on June 17th.
According to The Pulse Of Radio, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS frontman Anthony Kiedis said that the band scrapped at least two albums worth of songs and wrote new ones when they began working with producer Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton on its upcoming new disc "The Getaway". Kiedis explained to L.A radio station KROQ "We had an unusually difficult experience making this record where we wrote 20 to 30 songs and it was all ready to go and we thought it was happening, and then Flea went snowboarding and broke his arm real bad."
Kiedis continued: "So we rethought everything and then we didn't have a producer and we were just sort of lost in space with all these songs… When all the dust settled, Brian Burton, a.k.a. Danger Mouse, emerged and said, 'Let's go make a record.' We were, like, 'Great! We have all these songs,' and he was, like, 'Leave those there. Let's go write new songs in the studio.' So the process began over again."
JAMES BLAKE - RADIO SILENCE (Polydor Records)

DUNE RATS – BULLSHIT (Ratbag Records)
It’s about time Byron dudes released a new track, after two years of doing what they do best, music, touring, parties, sick people, and just being dickheads. Dune Rats only just went on a North American and Canadian tour with FIDLAR, which has now lead to FIDLAR’s frontman Zac Carper coming on board to help write and produce the new record, taking the boys from sessions inside an RV on the road to Joshua Tree and finally culminating in a Melbourne studio.
The first result to be unveiled is ‘Bullshit:’ a no-nonsense, hooky-as-hell Garage Rock future anthem that is sure to be a new highlight when Dune Rats play live, just in time for the boys to hit the road with Violent Soho and DZ Deathrays on their sold out national tour during May.
