BETTY & OSWALD - 'STUCK IN THE CITY' (Independent)
Sydney-siders Betty & Oswald are today excited to reveal a brand new single titled ‘Stuck In The City’, out now. The band will be heading on a VISIONS-presented tour stopping in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne this November, plus playing Lost Paradise in December. Talking about the track, Pete Sotiropoulos from the band describes, “Stuck In The City is a song about just that – being young and staying alive in the city. Trying to figure things out, to keep your head above water, all the while being teased by the glimmer of something special”.

Brisbane roof raisers Kingfisha have been laying down weighty reggae and dub, and bringing their passionate music to eager audiences for 5 years, in the process cementing themselves as Australia’s premier reggae act. The 6-piece band deliver crafted and modern reggae music by coupling their love of Jamaican rhythms with personal depth and style. Their incredibly well received self titled debut album saw lead single ‘Piece of the Puzzle’ added to triple j and the album landed album of the week status at PBS FM, Radio Australia and East Side Radio amongst plenty of rave reviews and Kingfisha enjoyed touring opportunities that have taken them to some of the world’s most interesting places such as a recent wildly successful run of shows in Africa including South Africa, Mozambique, Reunion Island and Swaziland.
ANIMUS - 'JUST A LITTLE BIT' (AR Records)
Animus is a three-piece rock band comprising of brothers Ashton and Dylon on vocals and drums respectively. They were joined by long-time friend Sheldon who currently takes the reign on bass guitar. With the help of a few fancy effects pedals, the band manages to get a full four-piece sound with simply a bass guitar and drums. ‘Just a Little Bit’ will be the band’s second single, which sees them moving away from their previous alternative rock sound. After the departure of their drummer late last year, the band saw themselves move towards a more organic, simplistic rock sound.
METALLICA - 'ATLAS, RISE!' (EMI MUSIC)
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Metallica have unleashed “Atlas, Rise!”. The song is the third track to be released from Metallica’s forthcoming album, ‘Hardwired…To Self-Destruct’, due for release on the band’s own Blackened Recordings on November 18th and follows previously released tracks “Hardwired” and “Moth Into Flame”.
‘Hardwired…To Self-Destruct’ is Metallica’s first studio album since 2008’s multi-platinum Death Magnetic. The album was produced by Greg Fidelman, who engineered and mixed ‘Death Magnetic’.

Wishes returns with the release of his sophomore single ‘Settle’ and accompanying Auslan (Australian Sign Language) inspired video, created by Melbourne-based Director/Producer Josh Harris (Dustin Debutt, Gang of Youths), which premiered on NOWNESS. Directed, shot and cut by Josh Harris, choreographed by Courtney Hale and styled by Benjamin Bates, the colourful clip incorporates a quirky combo of dance and Auslan (Australian sign language) filmed across various creative spaces in Melbourne.
